  1. What is ShareSavvy.ca and how will I benefit by being a user?

    ShareSavvy.ca is an extension of our loyal Savvymom.ca community. We're taking our national brand of practical everyday solutions for moms and bringing it to you, from you, on a local level. It’s a place where real moms can share their know-how, ask questions and answer questions about the best their neighbourhood has to offer. It’s the local guide built just for moms, a virtual Rolodex of all the best savvy stuff in town. You can benefit by sharing your own favourites and helping out other SavvyMoms or by finding out what’s great in your hood.

  2. How do I post a review on ShareSavvy.ca?

    To become active in the ShareSavvy.ca community first you need to click on the sign up link at the top right hand corner of the home page. Fill out the online form by providing your email address and a chosen password. Then you can login, go to Share It! and start sharing.

  3. What Does SavvyMom do with my personal information?

    We keep all of your information strictly to ourselves. We want you to share with us but we don’t want to share you with anyone else. We will protect your information like it is our own baby. For more on this, see our privacy policy.

  4. How do I post a reply?

    To share your thoughts or ask a question about a specific review on ShareSavvy.ca simply click on the word “comment” at the bottom of the page. Please remember that ShareSavvy.ca is a supportive, respectful community and we urge all contributors to be positive and constructive in their responses.. In other words, if you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all.

  5. How do I ask a question?

    You just did actually, and we’re glad because the Help Needed section is a great resource for our ShareSavvy.ca community. Just visit our 'Help Needed' column on the home page and ask a question that will go out to the ShareSavvy.ca community. You will be notified via email as soon as your question has been answered and if it hasn’t been answered within 30 days we’ll let you know too.

  6. How do I answer a question?

    If you know the answer to a 'Help Needed' request, don't hesitate to share your knowledge with a mom in need! Simply “click here to answer this question” and your share will be e-mailed to the asker and posted on the site.

  7. How do I find savvy information in my neighborhood?

    You can search by location. Look at the navigation bar at the top of the home page to find your neighborhood and all related reviews for your area.

  8. How do I make sure all my friends know about my review? Some might not be members of ShareSavvy.ca yet.

    If you want to share a review you read or wrote on ShareSavvy.ca, simply click on 'tell to a friend' and input their email address to send them the share. They don’t have to be members of the community but hopefully they will be soon.

  9. If I forward to a friend does that automatically sign them up to ShareSavvy.ca?

    We encourage you to send your shares to as many of your friends that you can, so thanks for asking. However, your friends will need to join themselves by clicking on our sign-up link.

  10. How do I invite friends to join in ShareSavvy.ca?

    If you know other Savvymoms who should be sharing their local savvy, invite them to join by using the ‘invite a friend’ link located in your ‘mysavvy’ page. They will be sent an e-mail asking if they would like to become a contributor on ShareSavvy.ca.

  11. How do I cancel my ShareSavvy.ca membership?

    You can always keep your membership and choose not to write a review, comment, or use our other features. And anyone is free to browse the great reviews. While we hope you don’t, if for some reason you do decide to cancel your membership, just send an email to share@savvymom.ca with the word "Cancel My Membership" in the subject line. We require that you send an email from the email you used when you joined the Share Savvy.ca community so that we’re sure it’s from you. You’ll then receive an email confirming that we’ve canceled your membership. And if you don’t mind telling us why you’re leaving us, we’d really appreciate the feedback so we can continue to make ShareSavvy.ca a great place for moms.

  12. How can I subscribe to the Savvymom.ca newsletter?

    For more great practical solutions to moms' every day dilemmas, click on Savvymom.ca at the top of your ShareSavvy homepage or go to www.savvymom.ca. As a Savvymom.ca subscriber, you will receive our free newsletters twice a week.

  13. What's a SavvyMom?

    The definition of “Savvy” is practical know-how. So, a SavvyMom is a mom who is constantly on the look out for practical know-how or solutions for her busy life, has some of her own to share with others, and likes to help other moms by sharing her wisdom on ShareSavvy.ca.

  14. So, why did you start ShareSavvy.ca?

    ShareSavvy.ca was born out of the recognition that we are not the only SavvyMoms with helpful information. Our loyal readers are the real SavvyMoms and we know because you share your tips with us all the time. Now you can share your local know-how so every mom can benefit from your knowledge of the really local topics moms are looking for.

  15. What should I do if I read something inappropriate, explicit, hateful or otherwise offensive in the reviews, comments or questions posted on the site?

    You can anonymously report inappropriate posts by clicking on the "report inappropriate content" link located to the right of each review. This content will be observed and moderated appropriately to ensure the quality, safety and privacy of all ShareSavvy.ca users.
