ShareSavvy.ca is an online community where moms from across Canada can come together to share their knowledge and benefit from the knowledge of others. To make ShareSavvy.ca the best it can be, we have a core set of guidelines we ask every member of the community to follow.
Share as much as you can. Other moms will benefit from your knowledge, opinions, or personal experiences. All we ask is (1) that the reviews you post are of businesses, services or places that have a physical address (no events, nothing that’s online only), (2) that you and your family have actually visited and experienced the place in question, (3) that you only post one review for each topic (while we welcome multiple reviews of the same place, we want them to all be from different moms’ points of view … you can always go back and edit your initial review if you have something more to add) and (4) that you use your own words to describe those experiences. No lifting words from someone’s website – that’s called plagiarism.
We believe strongly in the adage “if you don’t have anything good to say, don’t say anything at all”. We’ve all had bad experiences but in the SavvyMom spirit of finding solutions to moms’ everyday dilemmas, we’re hoping everything shared on ShareSavvy.ca is something you can truly recommend to other moms. So keep the bad stories to yourselves for now (we’re working on giving you the chance to rate and review in the future) and just share the good.
ShareSavvy.ca is a place to get advice or participate in our member-to-member marketplace. It is not a place to advertise or solicit customers. The quality of the content on ShareSavvy is important to us because we know it is important to you. If you post a review of your own business, please clearly (crystal clearly) identify yourself as the business owner. It is NOT OK to post links that are unrelated to the topic or meant only to solicit others for personal and financial gain. Reviews and comments of this nature will be removed.
ShareSavvy.ca is a community for moms. If we discover that you have not honestly represented yourself, your account will be immediately terminated. We commit to respecting your privacy in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Posting obscenities, insults, vulgar language, abusive messages, negative comments or hate speech does not make you tall or clever – and it is totally unacceptable on ShareSavvy.ca. Only comments which contain useful and well-intended advice are welcome and appreciated. If you see anything on the site you think is in violation of this guideline, you can help us keep our community free from abuse by letting us know. Just click on the Report Inappropriate Content button that is available on every page.
Violating any of the Community Guidelines listed above may result in the termination of your account at ShareSavvy.ca without warning.
